There are many reasons why you need to become a cheerleader. I’m not talking about the long legged American high school version (although they are amazing at acrobats!) I’m talking about the cheering from the side lines when someone is pushing forward with a project.
By offering to become a cheerleader for someone else, you reap the benefits of not only feeling good, but also extending your network, sharing clients and customers and both moving forward with your creative careers.
In this week’s podcast I talk about why you should try three types of cheerleading, but most importantly, how to learn to become a cheerleader for yourself. I teach you ways to support yourself when the going gets tough, and why you need to be your own cheerleading team. You can listen to the podcast below.
When we are working on something new it is important to remember the journey that we have taken to get to where we are now. Look backwards each month to remind you how far you have come.
If you would like to have your own cheerleading team, sign up for the mailing list putting your details into the boxes at the bottom of the page. You can join the facebook group as well by clicking here: FACEBOOK
Now it’s over to you… in the comments below, tell me who you can be a cheerleader for. What can you do to help them with their creative career and in turn help yours? It is only by supporting each other that we become stronger on this journey.
Great.
Such a nice pick up after a hot day in the studio.
A nice bit of sensible CBT.
When I realise Im telling myself off, calling myself an idiot, or using my surname (á La school), I say ‘come on now gal have a cup of tea.’ And each day I take a photo of a small section of a bit I really like and put of on twitter or Instagram. Someone always likes it. And I feel better.
Hi Claire,
Great to hear that I was a positive voice in your ear at the studio. Great to hear that you are kind to yourself and stop for a cup of tea! Love your photo a day on Instagram or twitter as well. 🙂
